When caesarean is an unexpected outcome, the new mother is often left with a sense of shock, disbelief, or feelings of disempowerment or failure. She will usually put those feelings aside, after all, she has a baby, and that's the most important thing... and the first few months with a newborn baby can be a bit of a shock in itself...
it can be important to revisit those memories, look at just what did happen, be really listened to, ask questions and gain clarity.
This is a day for women who have had a caesarean and an opportunity for Doulas, Midwives and Health care workers to learn from women's experiences.
